The cotton candy black tea is so cute it’ll make your heart melt—girls, you’ll definitely want to try one (laughs). This is HiSugar: 嗨糖, located near Zhongshan MRT Station. HiSugar: 嗨糖 Japanese-style Crepes & Cotton Candy Black TeaJust a 3-minute walk from Exit 2!
The shop is small with only 4 seats, but its pink design and tasty Japanese-style crepes and cotton candy black tea make it a must-visit. Even during soft opening, there were plenty of customers—and passersby can’t help but step in!

There are only four seats, but the owner is super thoughtful—they know girls love taking photos, and the entrance area is super photogenic too!

You can see the kitchen straight through this little window—it’s clean and hygienic!

The special part? They use a self-service ordering kiosk—and it’s pink, which is just too perfect!

Look how carefully I’m ordering—I want to try everything on the menu XD

There were three of us today, each ordered a drink and we also got a Japanese-style crepe!

Here’s the price list for reference—the prices are super affordable. The ingredients are top-notch because the owner has kids herself, so she values quality. The black tea, cakes, and chocolates are all homemade and not too sweet—even kids can enjoy them!
I’m a big fan of savory snacks, so I can handle sweets but not overly sugary ones. Too much sugar and I can’t even finish two bites XD But the sweetness level at HiSugar: 嗨糖 is just right for me—I can finish the whole thing with no problem (laughs).
Cotton Candy Extra-Rich Fresh Milk Black Tea

Isn’t it super cute? And it’s that classic old-school style cotton candy—it instantly took me back to my childhood. When I was little, I’d always get those giant cotton candies and end up with it all over my face—ah, now I’m tempted to go back to my old school and find my teacher tomorrow (but Ryan, it’s still summer break XD)!

The black tea is really rich too, but not overly sweet. Paired with the cotton candy, the sweetness is just perfect—not cloying at all.

The freshly baked cake almost caused a mini riot XD I seriously wanted to buy a slice!

Turns out it’s this—the cake inside the Japanese-style crepe is homemade. It’s soft, not too sweet, and not heavy at all.
Japanese-style Crepe: White Grape Custard Chiffon

We didn’t get a photo of our chocolate-flavored one (I was playing with a cute kid XD), but here’s my friend’s white grape custard chiffon crepe. The ingredients are super generous.
So what makes Japanese-style crepes different? Taiwanese crepes usually have a crispy shell, but Japanese-style crepes have a softer texture. They’re filled with custard cream, cake, and other ingredients—it’s totally a girl’s dream. Grab one in the afternoon and you’ll feel re-energized for work!

Had such a fun day hanging out with the little one—but I’m also super sore from all the playing XD

Lastly, the pink wall is super Instagrammable—but since it’s in an alley, the lighting isn’t the best. Add a filter and it’ll pop though!
That’s all for now—sharing with you all Up!
