Southern Taoyuan’s largest shopping destination, Zhongli DJ Mall, has invested NT$400 million to create a 6,000-ping underground shopping street featuring dining and lifestyle options. The soft launch on September 6 attracted large crowds as multiple exclusive brands in Taoyuan opened their doors with limited-time promotions. Shoppers lined up early to be among the first to enjoy the new offerings.
Among them, KANPAI Group’s KANPAI Yakiniku Izakaya and Mikami Sanuki Udon are making their first appearances in Taoyuan. To celebrate the launch, their signature “Bonito Broth Udon” is available at a special opening price of just NT$55. The udon is handmade on-site with diverse broths and expert craftsmanship, quickly becoming one of the most popular spots in the food court.

Huang Weidong, Public Relations Section Chief of KANPAI Group, said, “Mikami Sanuki Udon” boasts nearly 70 years of noodle-making heritage and is known as the “pioneer of self-service udon in Japan.” For its first entry into Taoyuan, it has chosen the 6,000-ping DJ Mall’s GB Floor Food Court. During the first wave of promotions from September 6–30, diners can enjoy its signature “Bonito Broth Udon” for just NT$55 per bowl—giving everyone the chance to taste this classic Japanese dish at an affordable price. And the good deals keep coming: during the second wave from October 1 (Sun) to October 4 (Wed), Mikami DJ Mall Store will offer an exclusive promotion—get one fried item voucher with any purchase over NT$200.
Yang Ruolin, Deputy Manager of Planning at Zhongli DJ Mall, stated that this large-scale renovation and relaunch will drive a fresh wave of foot traffic and sales leading up to the mall’s anniversary sale from September 29 to October 22. Compared to the low-profile first three quarters of this year, the September 6 soft launch marks the official strong comeback of Zhongli DJ Mall. The mall is now gearing up to boost Q4 performance, aiming for multiple-fold growth this year.
