Do you love risotto or pasta? Or maybe you’re looking for an affordable place to dine out with friends?? Come on over — their prices are actually quite reasonable~ Located near Dadong Night Market, I think it’s a great spot for group meals too. Meei Tun Dao No. 9 is not just a restaurant; they also offer projectors and venue rentals. Alright, let’s check out what we had that day!!

As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by a pink dining environment — so cute and girly~ There are also three teddy bears as part of the decor. And there’s more than just the seating area on the first floor!! The second floor also has seats, making it perfect for larger groups.

We had a little laugh when we arrived that day — I went by the address, which is No. 14 Chongshan Road. Because of the shop name, we got it wrong!! We thought, “Ah — isn’t it No. 9??” Where is No. 9?? Ugh — beaten by my own mind, the address clearly says No. 14. I must’ve been hungry and out of it that day to even mix up the house number!! But honestly, Meei Tun Dao No. 9 is easy to walk past without noticing XD The location is a bit discreet but not hard to find.

Please help yourself to utensils and seasonings~ There are also some board games you can play while waiting for your food or for a little post-meal game session.

There’s a pre-meal notice on the table you can check out first. It says the counter is often unmanned, so for ordering, paying, or service, just ring the bell above the counter. Drat — they made me want to ring it non-stop (I’d probably get smacked XD). Also, if you want plain water, just let the staff know. The rest, you can check out yourselves~

They mainly serve risotto, pasta, baked flatbreads, sandwiches, fried items, and drinks. In terms of pricing, I’d say it’s pretty affordable — the most expensive dish is NT$169, and there are business meals priced between NT$80–90. They’re open from 09:30 AM to 10:00 PM daily.

Chef’s Soup
Sweet with lots of onions, heavy bacon flavor, the soup has a rich taste but isn’t too thick — just right.

Crispy Fried Chicken Leg NT$40 (one piece)

The chicken coating is super crispy, the breadcrumb aroma is irresistible, and it has a spicy kick that whets the appetite. The meat is tender, and it tastes just like the fried chicken from a well-known fast-food chain!!! So addictive and finger-licking good~

Mediterranean Seafood Cheese Risotto Set / Curry Sauce NT$169 (Upgrade set +NT$59 for soup + drink of your choice)

There’s quite a decent amount of seafood on top~ Not just seafood, the risotto also includes potatoes, broccoli, and onions. The first bite has a curry flavor — quite rich and aromatic. I personally really like this one.

Norwegian Salmon Cheese Risotto / White Sauce NT$169 (Upgrade set +NT$59 for soup + drink of your choice)

The sauce is slightly pinkish, the salmon flavor is strong with a vibrant color. It comes with plenty of ingredients like broccoli, mushrooms, and onions. The rice is softer and absorbs the flavors of the sauce well. There are little bursts of salmon roe texture, plus aromatic spices adding extra depth.

German Sausage Flatbread Single Order NT$149

German sausage is a pretty widely accepted flavor, and the flatbread comes in three other options too. The crispy flatbread is topped with lots of cheese, giving off a sweet and tangy pizza sauce vibe. The sausage inside is chewy and flavorful — the more you chew, the better it gets. I especially love the crispy edges of the flatbread.

Side / Fresh Milk Black Tea
This drink isn’t too sweet, and the milk flavor is quite strong. Fans of milk tea, you should give it a try.

Side / Cranberry Fruit Vinegar
Nothing beats a refreshing, palate-cleansing fruit vinegar after a meal~ It’s pleasantly sweet and tangy with a fruity berry aroma.

Overall, I think the food is pretty good, and the prices aren’t steep either — it’s quite suitable for group meals. Go gather your girlfriends and head there~
