Earn NT$145,000 a month: Hong Kong Airlines recruits 20 cabin crew supervisors in Taiwan for the first time

To meet fleet expansion and operational needs, Hong Kong Airlines will hold its first cabin crew recruitment event in Taipei on January 21. Compared to other airlines recruiting newcomers, Hong Kong Airlines will directly hire 20 experienced professionals as “cabin crew supervisors,” with an expected monthly salary of NT$145,000.
Hong Kong Airlines Service DirectorHoward Kansaid that Hong Kong Airlines is a very young airline and continues to expand routes to Southeast and Northeast Asia. To strengthen the company’s Hong Kong identity, around 99% of current cabin crew members are from Hong Kong. To enhance internationalization and leverage Taiwan’s service experience, they are recruiting Taiwanese individuals as cabin crew supervisors for the first time in Taiwan. In the future, as more Japan routes open, Japanese supervisors will also be recruited.
Howard Kan pointed out that the average salary for general flight attendants at Hong Kong Airlines is about NT$80,000 (base salary + allowances), while cabin crew supervisors earn about NT$120,000, plus a monthly rental allowance of NT$25,000, bringing the average total to around NT$145,000—about 20% more than Taiwanese airlines. If one “pushes a bit harder” in a single month and accumulates 100 flight hours, the total monthly salary can go up to NT$190,000.

The positions are based in Hong Kong. Applicants must have at least seven years of cabin crew experience and at least three years of cabin management experience, as well as fluent English skills. Howard Kan also revealed that Hong Kong Airlines values interpersonal communication skills and customer-oriented thinking. In past second-round interviews, they have even “accidentally” dropped trash on the floor to test applicants’ reactions.
