After four years of preparation and billions of dollars invested, the Sun Moon Lake Fleurie Grand Hotel officially opened today (15th), with the ribbon-cutting ceremony held at 11:30 AM. The event also featured a cross-dressing performance by Blackface Lin Yushun as an imperial concubine enjoying the hot spring bath, showcasing the hotel’s unique offering of both dry and wet springs.

From interior design to furnishings, the hotel integrates natural elements and the essence of the four seasons to create a diverse new oriental cultural leisure space. It complements the simplicity and tranquility reminiscent of the Japanese Showa-era hinoki official residences, blending the structure into the mountain forests and Sun Moon Lake’s waterfront scenery. Furthermore, the hotel introduces Beitou stone rock-bed bathing and the sodium bicarbonate hot spring from the Lushan spring system. Guests can effortlessly enjoy a relaxing stay and experience something beyond the ordinary when visiting Sun Moon Lake.

At the opening ceremony, General Manager Yang Litai of Fleurie Hot Spring Hotel stated that the hotel hopes to deepen local engagement and create unique journeys for travelers. Zhang Zhenqian, Director of the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration, noted that Sun Moon Lake has the highest average room rates in Taiwan and is a must-visit destination for foreign tourists. The need for facilities was urgent, and he expressed joy at seeing the new hotel open, anticipating better services for visitors.
