The Chimei Museum in Tainan’s Metropolitan Museum Park, which cost nearly NT$2 billion and took six years to build, officially opened on New Year’s Day and has quickly become one of the city’s most popular attractions. The Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau stated that this campaign not only invites visitors to appreciate art and cultural artifacts at the Chimei Museum but also allows them to enjoy discounts offered by over 100 local businesses. During the campaign period, visitors can present eithera “Chimei Museum ticket stub”ora “photo taken with the Chimei Museum”when making purchases in Tainan to enjoy a wide range of food, entertainment, and leisure discounts. In terms of accommodation, 29 hotels and inns are offering discounts of up to 62%, and participants may even have the chance to win a NT$100,000 presidential suite stay certificate. Additionally, local travel agencies have curated 20 unique tour routes to provide visitors with an in-depth Tainan experience.
