There are so many cafés in Taipei, but it’s not easy to attract a solid customer base in such a short time. After a gathering, a friend suggested we continue for afternoon tea at a new café nearby, and I gladly went along. They took us to “VIIA CAFFE” on Guangfu South Road in Taipei. About 100 meters from Exit 1 of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall MRT Station and close to CTS, it frequently draws in many stars and celebrities.

VIIA CAFFE has specially introduced the Australian brand “Vittoria Coffee,” which holds over 50% market share in Australia, allowing Taiwan to enjoy the most authentic Italian-style coffee flavors. In addition to imported coffee, tea, cocoa, smoothies, and low-alcohol sparkling drinks, they also offer original Vittoria bottled beverages, as well as alcoholic options like red and white wines, port, and rosé sparkling wine. Beyond drinks, they serve unique dishes such as paninis, savory pies, cheesecakes, tiramisu, lemon tarts, and brownies— all popular menu items. Now, let’s take a look at what delicious treats VIIA CAFFE has to offer.

VIIA CAFFE is quite close to Exit 1 of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall MRT Station, but because the entrance is set back and there’s a parking lot for the building nearby, it’s not very obvious. Don’t miss it when you walk by.

There’s a small sign at the entrance. Once you step inside, it’s a whole different world, with warm yellow lighting and stylish decor that’s both fashionable and cozy.

On the shelves are all original Vittoria bottled drinks, coffee beans, and tea bags. The vibrant colors are really eye-catching. There’s also a small area on the left side of the café, perfect for private bookings or small events—we booked the whole space this time. The counter is where you place your order, and next to it are two large fridges stocked with an abundance of sweet and savory treats. Just pick whatever you fancy.

The staff kindly informed us that if you make a reservation in advance, you can even get a private room.

The coffee and tea they serve are all originally imported from Vittoria. It feels very professional. Aside from coffee, they also offer a variety of caffeine-free juices and teas, providing options for those who don’t drink coffee. Most notably, there’s a parent-child interactive block-letter wall on the left, where both kids and adults can have fun together. It’s a very child-friendly environment—how thoughtful.

The wall behind the counter features an area dedicated to displaying specialty coffee beans.

The display case is full of different coffee beans, and you can also buy beans to take home. There are also alcoholic drinks and low-alcohol sparkling beverages available here. It’s totally fine to come by for a relaxing drink anytime.

There’s also an introduction about Vittoria Coffee. It turns out Vittoria Coffee is a brand with over 50 years of history and over 50% market share in Australia. Being able to enjoy Vittoria Coffee in Taiwan is truly a delight.

They also have fresh juices here, and seasonal fruit juices can be made to order.

The first thing I tried was the egg waffle, which comes in three flavors: pumpkin chicken, mixed wild mushrooms, and XO sauce seafood. Because it's pre-baked, the aroma wafts through the air.

This egg waffle has a crispy outside and soft inside. The three fillings all have distinct flavors—the pumpkin is sweet, the mushroom has an earthy taste, and the XO sauce seafood has a rich umami. The XO seafood one was especially memorable, with bits of scallops inside. Everyone was quite impressed.

Next up is the French-style savory pie, which comes in three flavors: pumpkin chicken, mixed wild mushrooms, and XO sauce seafood. Since it’s been pre-baked, the fragrance is very inviting.

The savory pies have a flaky crust and flavorful fillings. The modern savory pie has mushrooms and cheese inside, and the crust is nice and crunchy. The filling is rich, making it very satisfying. It’s the kind of dish that looks simple but offers a rich experience, with lots of texture. The XO sauce seafood pie is another highlight for me—it even had scallops inside. Everyone was really amazed.

The lemon tart has a meringue topping and is filled with lemon curd. It’s sweet with a nice tang, full of egg and maple flavors, and has a slightly soft and chewy texture. Paired with berry jam, it creates a great combination with more layered flavors.

The cheesecake is a no-bake style, with layers of cream cheese and a hint of citrus. The bottom layer is a cookie crust, adding a nice crunch. The creaminess of the cheese pairs perfectly with the crust, making it very enjoyable.

The interior design is simple but not plain. The decoration is modern and quite chic.

What I liked most was their hot drink—there’s a hazelnut latte that’s not too sweet. The milk foam has a hazelnut flavor, and the coffee has a rich aroma. It’s very satisfying.

Besides the coffee and latte, there’s also a matcha latte. The matcha flavor is rich and not overly bitter, with a smooth texture. It’s a great choice.

There’s also a caramel macchiato. It’s made with espresso and steamed milk, topped with caramel drizzle. The coffee aroma is strong, and the sweetness is moderate. The caramel adds a nice touch. It’s really good.

The bitterness of the coffee is not overly strong, but rather rich and layered. Each sip reveals a different depth of flavor, and the aftertaste lingers pleasantly. The balance between the various flavor levels is just right, making it a cup of coffee that coffee lovers will definitely enjoy.

The cookies used here this month are also from Vittoria. On their own, they have a subtle almond aroma, and when added to the cake, they naturally enhance the sweetness and deliciousness.

The espresso, served in a Vittoria Coffee cup, is a small but rich and smooth shot, with a slight bitterness that coffee enthusiasts definitely shouldn’t miss.

The drip coffee here has a concept somewhat similar to pour-over, where the brewed coffee is poured into your cup from a height. The barista first brews the coffee using a drip method, then pours it over the espresso. What’s even more special is the layered effect you get when pouring the coffee from a height—the visual presentation is quite striking. Of course, the taste is also remarkable. Additionally, the names of their lattes are all quite intriguing, such as Black Honey Bean Latte and Peanut Latte. My personal favorite is the Peanut Latte—it has a rich coffee aroma paired with peanut flavor, and you can even taste the tiny peanut particles, which is quite unique. For those who don’t drink coffee, there are also tea options that are fragrant and sweet, without any overly artificial flavoring.

Many of the drinks here, such as lemonades, also feature unique flavors like hibiscus, plum, and ginger, all specially crafted with “Banta Vittoria” syrup, ensuring guaranteed quality.

I personally really like how the alcoholic drinks here have a strong wine aroma but aren’t overly boozy. The cocktails are moderately alcoholic, making them easy to drink. The wines are all from a single brand, each with its own distinct characteristics. Personally, I find the red wine particularly appealing—not only does it have no negative impact on the taste of the food, but it also pairs excellently, enhancing the overall dining experience. It’s definitely one of the best red wines I’ve had.

Coming to “IIA CAFFE,” the semi-self-service dining style and comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, along with the thoughtful addition of power outlets at almost every seat, explain why it has attracted many celebrities just months after opening. In this cozy little shop, you can enjoy authentic Australian-style Vittoria Coffee, rich and smooth, giving the whole dining experience a delightful international flair. For those who don’t drink coffee, there are also plenty of caffeine-free beverage options to satisfy every taste bud. Additionally, the savory and sweet pastries here are also quite impressive—whether it’s paninis, savory tarts, croissants, tiramisu, or lemon tarts, they’re all must-try delicacies. You can also do what we did and gather a big group to try a variety of different flavors of desserts all at once. Recommended for anyone interested—don’t miss out on this unique café, as it’s sure to leave you wanting more.
