The Taichung Xinshe Cherry Blossom Festival will kick off on February 8. Pink cherry blossoms are already starting to emerge on the branches, attracting many visitors. In anticipation of the large crowds expected to flock in during the one-month long cherry blossom season, the Xinshe District Office and the Dongshi Police Precinct have recently completed the installation of traffic control facilities, aiming to provide the public with a comfortable and safe space to enjoy the blossoms.

The Dongshi Police Precinct stated that currently, the focus is on the congested Section 3 of Zhonghe Street (also known as Dankeng Slope), where traffic cones have been placed along both sides of the road. The precinct has also coordinated with the Xinshe District Office to set up signs prohibiting temporary parking on all cherry blossom viewing routes, while expanding parking availability at the district office and Xinshe High School parking lots to accommodate more visitors. Additionally, no-parking lines will be painted at downhill and curve sections, among other control measures.

The Dongshi Police Precinct also urges the public that with the upcoming cherry blossom season, everyone should cooperate with on-site police traffic guidance and park vehicles at the Xinshe District Office, Xinshe High School parking lots, or other suitable nearby locations, in order to effectively manage vehicle and pedestrian flow.
