With the rise of painted villages in Taiwan in recent years, the Catbus has also made its way to Taiwan, complete with eye-catching bus stop signs. Here’s a list of 4 Totoro bus stops scattered across Taiwan, and yes—one of them actually has a Catbus that stops by!!

1. Keelung Zhongzheng Park “Totoro Bus Stop”
The Totoro bus stop in Keelung Zhongzheng Park is actually an accidental creation. A mysterious graffiti artist who happened to pass by was inspired by a large blank wall. After about a week, they painted a chubby Totoro holding its signature umbrella, waiting at the bus stop. They even added a bus stop sign labeled “Keelung Zhongzheng Park.” The vivid artwork quickly went viral—even though the location is not easily accessible, people still flock here to see Totoro.

2. “Yizhan Totoro Bus Stop” at Yizhan Leisure Farm in Tainan—the Catbus is at home here!
Yizhan Leisure Farm aims for “ecology, energy-saving, waste reduction, and health,” using various recycled materials to create a sustainable green space. Throughout the farm, you’ll find classic cartoon characters made from repurposed items. One highlight is the Catbus, assembled from shovels, basins, lamps, and other materials. The Totoro waiting by the bus also changes outfits from time to time!

3. Shilin Village, Dainei District, Tainan City—A Totoro Bus Stop in the Hometown of Stars
Known as the “Hometown of Stars,” Dainei District in Tainan recently created a painted village in Shilin Village featuring cartoon characters like Totoro, Gudetama, and Peter Rabbit. A Totoro Bus Stop was set up in the village, inviting visitors to “wait for the bus” and take photos, making it a new hotspot among painted villages.

4. Guanshan, Taitung—The “Nandao Yang Mantian” Totoro Bus Stop in the Rice Fields
At a farmhouse shed at a crossroads on Free Road in Guanshan Town, Taitung, a couple who run their own rice brand “Nandao Yang Mantian” wanted to make their town more vibrant and lively. They also hoped that Totoro’s plant-growing powers would help their rice grow better. So they asked a local art teacher to paint a Totoro bus stop. Even though no bus actually stops there, you can sit at the stop and enjoy the beautiful rural scenery of Guanshan.
