Good news for consumers！Fuxing and Far Eastern Airlines cut domestic flight prices – up to NT$189 savings

In response to falling oil prices, domestic airlines have also adjusted their ticket prices. Far Eastern Airline has announced an across-the-board reduction in the fares of its domestic routes, with the Taipei–Kinmen route seeing the largest drop—from the original price of NT$2,255 to NT$2,066, a reduction of NT$189. Additionally, TransAsia Airways has announced that it will implement an average 3% price cut on seven of its domestic routes starting February 3.

The new ticket prices for six of Far Eastern Airline’s domestic routes will take effect from March 3. In addition to the NT$189 drop on the Taipei–Kinmen route, the Taipei–Makung route will be reduced by NT$142. Flights from Taichung and Kaohsiung to Makung and Kinmen will also see reductions ranging from NT$75 to NT$118.

TransAsia Airways has also announced that it will reduce prices on seven domestic routes (Taipei–Kinmen, Kaohsiung–Kinmen, Taipei–Makung, Kaohsiung–Makung, Taipei–Hualien, Taichung–Hualien, and Kinmen–Makung) in line with Civil Aeronautics Administration policy. The average reduction is 3%, with the largest cut—4%—on the Kinmen–Makung route. The highest amount saved is NT$67 on the Kaohsiung–Kinmen and Taichung–Hualien routes.
