New highlight in Tainan！A 6-meter-tall “lucky cat” climbs up the Qigu Salt Mountain and waves

A huge white lucky cat has now appeared on the summit of Qigu Salt Mountain in Tainan！Taiwan Salt, in line with the upcoming winter vacation, has specially created the largest animated lucky cat in the country. From now until March 15, it will stand atop Qigu Salt Mountain, known as having the cleanest magnetic energy in the nation. It aims to gather positive energy together with everyone, bid farewell to the turbulent year of 2014, and welcome the fresh vibes of 2015！

This adorable giant lucky cat stands 6 meters tall, 6 meters long, and 8 meters wide. Take a closer look, and you’ll see its pure-white paws gently waving, as if beckoning visitors with a “Come on！Come on！” Taiwan Salt Corporation Chairman Hong Xi-yao stated that salt sounds like the word for “fate” (缘) in Chinese, and this largest animated lucky cat in the country, situated in the cleanest magnetic field in Taiwan, brings both wealth and fortune to visitors—bringing in a flood of prosperity and good luck.

Inside the salt house next to the lucky cat, there is also a LOVE wishing room where visitors can write their innermost wishes on wooden boards and hang them up. Leveraging the traditional purifying and blessing powers of salt, it helps ward off bad luck and attract good fortune.

During the Lunar New Year holiday, Qigu Salt Mountain will also present a rich lineup of activities from the first to the fifth day of the New Year. In addition to daily street performances, Taiwan Salt will also release a limited edition of lucky cat magnets.
