Spring Festival air travel expected to hit record highs; Taoyuan Airport advises arriving 3 hours early

Taoyuan International Airport will operate 1,530 additional flights during the Spring Festival holiday period from February 5 to March 4. Passenger traffic is expected to reach new highs, and the airport authority recommends that travelers during peak hours arrive at the airport three hours early and apply for the automated clearance system in advance to speed up the security process and avoid delays caused by crowds.

For passengers who arrive early, Taoyuan International Airport has arranged mini musical performances in the Aviation Theater at C6 waiting area of Terminal 2 daily at 09:30, 10:30, 11:30, and 12:30 during the peak travel period. Sheep-themed wish cards are also available at Gates B7 and C3. Additionally, the newly opened Victoria’s Secret is located at Gate D2. Duty-free shops in ABC zones offer a free lantern or spring couplet with purchases over NT$888, while Zone D has other shopping gifts for reaching spending thresholds. On February 13, the eve of Valentine’s Day, live band performances will be held in Terminal 1 to help travelers celebrate the holiday with music.
