Iron Man and Spider-Man leap onto mooncake boxes – a must-have collectible for Marvel fans

Hong Kong’s Maxim’s Mooncakes, which have been the top-selling mooncakes in Hong Kong for 19 consecutive years, are optimistic about the growth potential of Taiwan’s mooncake market. This year, they have opened their first-ever 3D Lunar Scene pop-up store in Taiwan’s Xinyi District, allowing consumers to take photos with hyper-realistic displays of the moon, maple trees, jade rabbits, and flowing-center egg yolk mooncakes. In addition to traditional mooncake series, Maxim’s has also launched a Marvel-themed cartoon mooncake series, featuring Marvel heroes on this year’s mooncake boxes.

The “Double-Yolk White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake” and “Double-Yolk Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake” are classic and best-selling flavors of Maxim’s Mooncakes, but the brand has consistently introduced various new flavors. For example, in 2014, it independently developed the unique “Flowing-Center Egg Yolk Mooncake,” inspired by Hong Kong-style custard buns, with its distinctive bursting filling that once created a buzz. This year, they’ve innovated on the traditional signature flavor again by launching the “Flowing-Center Egg Yolk White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake.”

In addition to traditional mooncake series, Maxim’s has also launched a Marvel-themed cartoon mooncake series, featuring Marvel heroes on this year’s mooncake boxes. These include the newly flavored “Iron Man Series Green Tea Red Bean Mooncake Gift Box” and the classic-flavored “Spider-Man Series Egg Yolk Mooncake.” The boxes feature images of your favorite heroes, and each mooncake mold also bears the hero’s iconic symbol.
