Happiness Restaurant Poll: Itamae, Chaumont, and Goldener III Malt Crowned as Champions

The food website “OpenRice Taiwan” conducted a Happiness Restaurant poll, in which 40,000 netizens and bloggers voted. Itamae was awarded the top spot for the Most Family-Friendly Happiness Restaurant, while Chaumont New Champs-Élysées Teppanyaki and Goldener III Malt took the titles for the Most Suitable for Couples and Friends, respectively.

Analysis of the top five restaurants voted most happiness-inducing by netizens shows that service quality is the basic threshold, while ambiance and decor, along with the standard of the cuisine, are key factors in standing out.

Bloggers taking part in the poll also selected notable restaurants that didn’t make the final list but were considered strong contenders. These included My Zao’s limited-edition braised pork rice beloved by elders, Xin Dongnan’s white pomfret rice noodles, Salté’s stunning proposal table setup, and Black Dining, where Taiwanese and Japanese cuisines creatively intersect.
