Welcome the "first dawn of 2018"! Dawn and sunrise locations across Taiwan are revealed
Last updated 2026-09-23 — Chasing the first light of the new year is particularly meaningful! The Taipei Municipal Planetarium announced that the earliest place for twilight in Taiwan in 2018 is in Nanhu Mountain, Taichung City, while the earliest sunrise on the mainland of the island is in Sanxiantai, Taitung County. In addition, the twilight and sunrise times of more than 900 places across Taiwan are also calculated.

新的一年追第一道曙光，特别有意义！台北市立天文馆公布2018年全台最早出现曙光的地点在台中市南湖大山，而本岛平地最早日出则在台东县三仙台。此外，也精算全台各地900多处曙光及日出时间。

台北市立天文馆表示，当太阳在地平线下18度，夜空从全黑开始变亮时，就是天文上的曙光出现时间。台北市立天文馆预测，2018年元旦当天，台中市南湖大山海拔3,740米，会在5时07分49.5秒出现曙光，是全国最早出现曙光的地点。
若不算人迹罕至的高山，平地以兰屿龙头岩的5时12分55.4秒最早，台湾本岛平地的最早曙光在5时15分12.1秒台东县三仙台露脸。

由于经纬度和海拔高度的影响，日出时间的排序和曙光略有不同。全台最早可以看见日出的地点在花莲县海拔3,324米的新康山，日出时间为6时28分6.2秒，平地以兰屿龙头岩的6时32分28.9秒最早。台湾本岛平地最早日出则在屏东县垦丁鹅銮鼻灯塔，日出时间为6时35分13.8秒，民众不妨提前规划。
