After the “Blue Print” on Hai’an Road disappeared, it attracted much attention. However, you can still see the Blue Print in Tainan now. Located by the roadside of Ximen Road in Tainan, right opposite Shin Kong Mitsukoshi’s Xintiandi, the space that was once an old judicial dormitory has been redeveloped into a new version of the Blue Print site. The entire area will become the newly built “New Blue Print Cultural & Creative Park.” Visitors to Tainan during the Spring Festival can take a break from shopping and stop by to admire this iconic Tainan landmark.

Unlike the flat wall design on Hai’an Road, the “New Blue Print Cultural & Creative Park,” situated closer to the road, presents a more three-dimensional visual effect compared to the original Blue Print on Hai’an Road. A closer look inside reveals details that evoke the atmosphere of life in the old houses. Also created by artist Liu Guocang, the new Blue Print features dynamic lines where every detail conveys a sense of tranquility from the past spaces.

The “New Blue Print Cultural & Creative Park” is expected to be completed by mid-year (2015). Upon completion, it will host around 23 local brands, bringing together distinctive Tainan shops. In the future, visitors to the cultural park can not only take photos with the Blue Print but also explore the small shops within the park, experiencing the local charm and character of Tainan.
