Quanjude’s Century-Old “Hanging Oven Roast Duck” Now Available at Evergreen Phoenix Jiayi

Not to be outdone by Lanyang Crystal Hotel, Evergreen Phoenix Hotel Jiayi has recently partnered with China’s Quanjude to launch a “Roast Duck Feast” featuring cherry valley ducks from Hualien. From now until April 15, the feast showcases the flavors of Beijing roast duck using locally sourced Taiwanese ingredients.

Quanjude, famous for its roast duck, is a well-known time-honored brand in China with a history of 151 years. It sells over 3 million roast ducks annually and is hailed as China’s “Number One Roast Duck Restaurant.” Its signature “hanging oven roast duck” was even included in China’s “National Intangible Cultural Heritage” list in 2008. Evergreen Phoenix Hotel Jiayi stated that for this collaboration, cherry valley ducks from Hualien are used—ducks raised in free-range, flowing water conditions with particularly sweet and tender meat. The Quanjude guest team uses the hanging oven roasting technique to bring out the authentic flavor of roast duck.

The roast duck feast at Evergreen Phoenix Hotel Jiayi is available in limited quantities—only 40 ducks per day—offered in two group sizes: 4–6 people and 10 people. The price for the 4–6 person set is NT$4,200 + 10%, while the 10-person set is NT$13,800 + 10%.
