Tottori Airport in western Honshu, Japan, has officially been renamed "Tottori Sand Dunes Conan Airport" and held a grand inauguration ceremony on the 1st. Although Conan's creator, Gosho Aoyama, was unable to attend, his parents represented him and presented a video message from Aoyama. The first 100 Taiwanese visitors to use Conan Airport will also take a chartered flight from Taichung Airport to Tottori on March 5.

Since Gosho Aoyama is from Tottori Prefecture, the local area hopes that renaming the airport will directly attract tourists from around the world to visit. The airport, themed around the Detective Conan manga, features the famous detective everywhere, both inside and out. Even the airport's exterior sign uses Conan, and the airport name is displayed in the font from the manga. There are also life-sized "Conan flight attendants" and Ran standees, as well as a giant 3D Conan riding a camel, creating an immersive experience.

Additionally, the "Detective Conan Museum" in Hokuei Town, Tottori Prefecture, not only displays manga but also features the scene where Gosho Aoyama created the series and an experience area for the gadgets invented by Dr. Agasa. Meanwhile, "Conan Street," also located in Hokuei Town, is lined with Conan statues along the road, and there is also a Conan Station and Conan Train that operate daily to transport passengers.
