Aloha, everyone！Actor Yang Yizhan takes on the role of tourism ambassador and calls on the public to join the Hawaii Road Run

To inspire creativity among the public, the Hawaii Tourism Authority launched the “Hawaii 16 & Million Slogan Contest” in January. The winning entry will not only become the official promotional slogan for the Hawaii Tourism Authority but also earn the winner cash and 16 round-trip tickets to Hawaii. Today (March 4), Hawaii tourism ambassador Yang Yizhan also appeared at the judging event, inviting the public to take part in the Hawaii road run and even mixing up colorful cocktails like Blue Hawaii and Mai-Tai on-site, giving everyone a taste of Hawaii’s vibrant spirit. The slogan campaign attracted over a thousand participants. After the preliminary selection, 50 entries advanced to the finals, which will be held on March 24. Aside from the unique qualities of each shortlisted slogan, some contestants also showcased their works using LEGO toys, idol dramas, dance, and other creative methods.

Yang Yizhan shared that during his time in Hawaii, he was captivated by the beautiful scenery of Waikiki Beach. He also noted that the strong ocean waves in Hawaii make surfing an especially thrilling experience—even beginners can quickly get hooked. Xu Zhengchang, representative of the Hawaii Tourism Authority’s Taiwan office, added:Hawaii is a travel destination that blends urban excitement with natural beauty. In addition to classic honeymoon and resort experiences, visitors can now also swim with wild dolphins, join road runs, go shopping, and explore the city streets—offering a unique experience compared to other island destinations.

As the Honolulu Marathon is one of the world’s most renowned marathons, the Hawaii Tourism Authority will also host a Hawaii Road Run event in Fulong on May 30. In addition to celebrity participants like Yang Yizhan and Wei Huaxuan, the event will feature live ukulele music, hula dancing, and Hawaiian-themed refreshment stations. Runners will also have the chance to win prizes such as trips to Hawaii, allowing participants to enjoy the fun of “Aloha Spirit” while staying active.
