Its lobby is super cool and stylish!! There’s a huge contrast between the retro exterior of the building and how trendy it feels inside!!! Plus, the lighting is so bright—it instantly puts you in a great mood as soon as you step in.

Old-fashioned rickshaws have been transformed into colorful VIP luxury seats inside the New Majestic Hotel, and right next to them are professional spotlights. I can’t wait to see how it looks at night.

Today, travel host Guo Renrong is taking you to the Majestic Restaurant located on the first floor of the New Majestic Hotel.
Let me tell you: This restaurant is definitely in my top one or two meals during my entire week in Singapore!!

First up is a trio of appetizers.

Foie gras with roasted tomatoes
This combo may sound a bit unusual—but it’s actually delicious!! The foie gras is pan-fried to perfection, crispy outside and tender inside—paired with lightly seared, juicy tomatoes—and it’s seriously so good!!

Peking duck (The skin is crispy and fragrant—so yummy!)

This dish may look like shrimp dumplings, but the sauce is actually mustard mayonnaise, with some fried garnishes on top—when you pop the whole thing into your mouth, the layers of flavor are amazing!! It’s also super appetizing—I love this!!!

We all know we have to try chili crab when in Singapore. At the New Majestic Hotel, they’ve cleverly combined chili crab with Shanghai pan-fried buns. Although you don’t get a whole crab claw, it saves you the hassle of peeling—and I really love these chili crab buns here.

Steamed clams with garlic
You don’t see this dish much in Taiwan either. The last time I had it was in Sai Kung, Hong Kong. Seafood shops in Taiwan hardly ever sell it. So if you’re in Singapore, you should definitely give it a try—because it’s super fresh, plus the garlic sauce is incredibly aromatic, and it goes perfectly with rice!!

Stir-fried pea shoots
It’s just a simple dish, but the chef here has great control over the heat. No wonder it’s from an award-winning chef’s restaurant!!

Now let’s try the desserts here—they didn’t disappoint me either. The mango pomelo sago is on par with what you’d get at dessert shops in Hong Kong.

Those of you who follow my blog know that I’m a huge fan of egg tarts with flowing custard filling. The ones at the Majestic Restaurant are super oozy—you can see for yourself~~~they’re about to burst out!! The filling is sweet but not greasy, and the pastry isn’t too thick either—I highly recommend them!!

There are several round holes in the ceiling of this restaurant. Can you believe it? The floor above is actually the swimming pool, so if you’re a guest swimming up there, people downstairs can see you!! (And if you’re swimming up there, you can also see all the diners below!!) Isn’t that fun?

The New Majestic Hotel really has won countless awards~~~I as a travel host truly recommend this place!!! Thanks to Jaime Kuek for the recommendation~ ^^
