The final prayer lantern event of the “2015 New Taipei City Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival” will be held on Lantern Festival, March 5, at Shifen Square. Don’t miss your last chance this year to witness the beauty of thousands of sky lanterns ascending together—Up！

The grand prayer lantern event themed “Reunion in Shifen, Blessings Fill the Sky” will offer 1,400 free sky lanterns for the public to release. Queueing for lantern release vouchers begins at 11:00 AM and will continue until all are distributed. A giant 20TN paper-cut “Fortune Gathering in Both New Taipei Cities” sky lantern, integrating paper-cut art and lantern craftsmanship, along with 200 “Five Blessings Descend Upon the Home” 4TN paper-cut lanterns, will also rise alongside the public's lanterns.

Additionally, in conjunction with the 2015 Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival, the Shifen Visitor Center parking lot will be closed to the public from Tuesday, March 3, to Friday, March 6. From 9:00 AM on March 5 to 12:00 AM that night, comprehensive traffic control for cars and motorcycles will be enforced in the Pingxi area and surrounding regions. The public may take shuttle buses or the Pingxi Line train to get there.
