In countless movies and TV dramas, rooftops are often the setting for romantic encounters. Gazing at the starry sky in an open space is incredibly relaxing. To give busy modern urbanites a small escape from the hustle and bustle, Kaohsiung’s Pier-2 Art Center will host a romantic "Rooftop Movie Night" over two consecutive days on September 23 and 24.

The Rooftop Movie Night is jointly organized by the Kaohsiung City Government Cultural Affairs Bureau and Invisible Film Workshop. The event description mentions that the romantic concept of "rooftop movies" is nothing new in New York. As early as 1997, when the festival founder Mark Elijah Rosenberg had just graduated from film school, he set up a projector and screen on the rooftop of his small apartment, allowing fellow movie enthusiasts to enjoy great films together under the night sky.

On the day, the rooftop of the Dajhih C6 Warehouse by the harbor will be open to the public, where people can enjoy movies while feeling the sea breeze. With the theme of "Invisible Heroes," four films will be screened each day, along with an additional mystery short film as a special treat. Movie lovers shouldn’t miss out on such a romantic rooftop movie date, spending a cultural weekend under the harbor night sky with great films.
