Japan is in the midst of cherry blossom season, and while you can find these iconic flowers at various scenic spots, you can now also enjoy them inside a train station. Starting now, Tokyo’s Ueno Station has decorated its platforms, staircases, and even ceilings with large murals of blooming cherry blossoms and artificial flowers, giving passengers an immersive welcome surrounded by vibrant pink blooms as soon as they step off the train.

The Ueno area in Tokyo has been one of Japan’s most iconic cherry blossom viewing spots since the Edo period. This time, in collaboration with a beer advertisement, large murals of blooming pink cherry blossoms and artificial flowers stretch from Ueno Station’s Platform 2 all the way to the JR transfer ticketing area, transforming Ueno Station into the “most beautiful cherry blossom station” and allowing passengers to enjoy the early bloom.
