The Evergreen Phoenix Hotel (Jiaoxi) will hold its first-ever “Phoenix Cup Paper Airplane Competition” on Mid-Autumn Festival (October 4). The event will offer 200 VIP guests free entry to compete on-site, with the champion taking home a cash prize of NT$10,000. The activity uses the symbolism of flying far and flying long to showcase the autumn scenery of Jiaoxi.

This year’s inaugural “Phoenix Cup Paper Airplane Competition” will follow official paper airplane competition rules and will take place on October 4 in the Evergreen Hall (2nd floor). Registration is open on-site (not limited to hotel guests), with a limit of 200 participants. Competitions will be held in two categories: “Flying Far (flight distance)” and “Flying Long (flight duration),” with each category’s champion receiving a NT$10,000 prize. To ensure professionalism and fairness, the event has invited Huang Huaxuan, the 2015 Taiwan Paper Airplane Flying Far Champion, to serve as a judge and share paper airplane techniques with participants.
