Japan’s “kawaii” culture comes to Taiwan — an exhibition in Taipei runs for three consecutive days starting today

Experience the kawaii culture in Taiwan from March 13 to 15 with a Japanese food and culture event themed around HARAJUKU KAWAii (Harajuku-style cuteness). Local ingredients will be transformed into adorable desserts infused with HARAJUKU KAWAii flair. The event will feature popular chefs, award-winning displays, and dessert cooking workshops to inspire Taiwanese travelers who love Japanese culture.

Taiwanese people have always been highly sensitive and receptive to Japanese culture and its pop trends. This exhibition uniquely combines cuisine with the iconic HARAJUKU KAWAii style of Japanese pop culture. The event is designed by HARAJUKU KAWAii culture creator Sebastian Masuda, featuring real-life imagery of landscapes behind the desserts and blending vibrant colors and designs for a one-of-a-kind kawaii experience.

From March 13 to 15, in addition to dessert cooking workshops led by popular Japanese chef MASA, there will also be a 3D nail art show themed around Japanese cuisine by Nakayama Chieko, the top nail artist sought after by Japanese models and celebrities. There will also be dessert cooking classes by ABC Cooking Studio, allowing participants to fully enjoy the dual charm of KAWAii culture and Japanese gastronomy. Popular Japanese reader model Takechi Shihoko will also make an appearance.
