Although most Taiwanese travelers visit Disneyland through package tours offered by travel agencies, in recent years, an increasing number of budget-conscious women, students, and groups of friends have been spending their weekends at the magical park. These independent travelers often wonder if there are good ways to save on travel expenses? The British Daily Mail reported some money-saving tipsusing Florida Disneyland as an example,

although Asian travelers may have different ways of enjoying the park, it’s still worth a look!

1. Pitch a tent!
Yes, Disneyland offers plenty of themed rooms, but your money can easily go up in smoke. Aside from the castle, Disney in the U.S. also has camping sites that cost only about NT$1,500 per night. Tents can be rented or brought from home, and the park also provides free shuttle buses.
2. Buy tickets online in advance

Buying tickets on-site is actually unwise — not only will you face long queues, but you also won’t get the best deals. Last month, a one-day ticket to the Magic Kingdom soared to NT$3,500, but there are other options. Websites like attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk offer combo tickets that can be cheaper. It’s worth noting that children under three enter for free, while those over ten are considered adults. Military personnel also enjoy ticket discounts.
3. Get a “unlimited entries” pass
One American woman managed to get 14 days of park access for the price of 7 days. Even if you don’t plan to stay that long, you can still get entry for any seven days within two weeks at a lower price. The 2015 promotional ticket R... ended on February 30 — check the official website for details.
4. Time management is crucial
Disneyland has four theme parks. Plan your time well to experience as many attractions as possible.
Disney also has its own app to check which attractions are currently the most popular, so you can prioritize — or save them for last. Lunch can also eat up a lot of time, so try to keep it simple.
5. Don’t go during summer vacation

Summer is peak season at Disneyland — ticket prices are higher and wait times are longer. Early September, when kids go back to school, marks the start of the off-season.
6. Plan ahead and bring some essentials
Disney has everything you need, but your wallet will take a big hit. You can bring some items yourself, such as toilet paper, sunscreen, snacks, etc. Since every moment in the park costs money, play as efficiently as possible.
7. Buy a souvenir cup
That way, you don’t have to keep buying drinks or bring your own container. A souvenir cup lets you refill with water — killing multiple birds with one stone. If you don’t mind sharing, or buying some items with friends and splitting the cost, it’ll also be more economical.
8. Bring your own food
A meal at Disneyland — a burger, fries, and a drink — costs around NT$500. Save time on eating and spend more time playing.
9. Don’t get lost in the souvenir shops
