500 Japanese travelers vote on their "top three favorite Asian cuisines" — Taiwan ranks first

Taiwan is a food paradise in the hearts of Japanese travelers. Recently, Japanese travel company Expedia conducted a survey on the theme of "旅" × "食," polling 500 Japanese travelers aged 20 to 60. Over 80% of the respondents said that among Asian cuisines, Taiwanese food is their favorite.

"The purpose of traveling is to taste local dishes made with regional ingredients!" According to the survey, although most Japanese travelers prioritize historical landmarks and scenic spots when choosing a destination, over 70% actually set their sights on local cuisine during their trips.

In the "Favorite Asian Cuisines Ranking,"81% of travelers said that their favorite Asian food is Taiwanese cuisine,ranking second is Hong Kong (74%), and South Korea came in third with 73%. In the "Countries I’ve Visited for Food Travel..." ranking, Taiwan also ranked second with 74%, showing that more and more people are choosing Taiwan as a travel destination — and one of the main reasons is its delicious food.
