Mr. Snow Cream

Mr. Snow Cream, an ultra-popular ice cream shop in Yonghe, features Taiwan’s most iconic “Taiwan No. 18 Milk Tea” as its signature flavor. The milk tea snowflake ice has a rich milky taste with just the right level of sweetness, paired with freshly cooked tapioca pearls—it’s incredibly refreshing. Besides ice desserts, Mr. Snow Cream also sells drinks and offers hot pot dishes limited to autumn and winter, which have a unique charm in the colder months.

Matcha Dog House

Located in Yonghe District, New Taipei City, the “Matcha Dog” restaurant was originally a grocery store. After renovation, the owner combined matcha-themed dishes with a Shiba Inu motif as its signature. Among its offerings, the shop’s specialty Japanese-style shaved ice not only includes red beans and mochi pearls, but its biggest highlight is the adorable “dog paw”-shaped ice cream on top. The store’s Shiba Inu manager, Cherry, occasionally makes appearances, causing a frenzy among dog lovers.

Dad’s Taro Balls

The owner’s original sugarcane slice ice is made by boiling cane sugar. Not only is its shape unique, but it also has a refreshing taste without being overly sweet. All the toppings are handmade, including semi-transparent fish egg tapioca pearls, small Job’s tears, mochi balls, and taro paste balls. Most importantly, there’s a cascading half-bowl of taro paste mountain. The taro paste is smooth, silky, and bursting with rich taro aroma. Paired with the sugarcane slice ice beneath it, one bite sends your inner taro lover into overdrive.
