Changi Airport Terminal 4 opens, 27 football fields large, cultural heritage style

The thoughtfulness and attention to detail at Changi Airport have been recognized worldwide as it has topped the list of the world’s best airports for several consecutive years. The opening of Terminal 4 further proves that while it was already excellent, it can still reach even higher.With “cultural heritage” as its main theme, the new terminal houses 81 shops and restaurants, covering a total area equivalent to about 27 football fields.

According to the UK Daily Telegraph, due to Singapore's geographical location, many flights transit here. After the completion of Terminal 4, it will serve even more passengers, with an estimated 82 million travelers passing through each year. Terminal 4 started operations, and for the first time Cathay Pacific and Korean Air are using the terminal, with around 2,400 passengers having entered so far.

Terminal 4 has 62 shops, 19 bars and restaurants, and an immersive LED wall for art displays..Although the theme primarily focuses on Singapore’s historical and cultural heritage, the design team incorporated many innovative concepts. Visitors can also experience some fresh activities. Besides barbecue stalls, there are also cocktail bars, and there is an area for live drone test flights.

Why is Changi Airport so special? In Terminals 1 to 3, travelers can see butterfly gardens, orchid gardens, art installations, and more. It’s very different from other airports that only have cold, hard-to-understand text signs and uninspiring travel information.
