A new option for Disney and Universal Studios: Emirates launches flights to Orlando

Following the launch of its Dubai-Boston and Dubai-Chicago routes to North America on March 10 and August 5, 2014, respectively, Emirates today (April 8) also announced that it will officially commence operations on the Dubai-Orlando route starting September 1, 2015.

For travelers, Orlando in Florida boasts attractions such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and SeaWorld, attracting over 59 million visitors each year. Emirates stated that Orlando will become its 10th destination in the United States.

Emirates will operate the Dubai-Orlando route using the Boeing 777-200LR, with a cabin configuration of 8 first-class seats, 42 business-class seats, and 216 economy-class seats. Flight EK219 departs Dubai at 3:50 AM and arrives at Orlando International Airport at 11:40 AM the same day, with a total flight time of 15 hours and 50 minutes; Flight EK220 departs Orlando at 2:20 PM and arrives in Dubai at 12:30 PM the next day, with a total flight time of 14 hours and 10 minutes. Taiwanese travelers departing from Taiwan to Dubai will leave at 11:45 PM and arrive in Dubai at 5:05 AM, then depart Dubai at 4:35 AM and return to Taiwan at 4:40 PM.
