New Taipei City’s Tung Blossom Festival Kicks Off on the 11th in Tucheng – “Tung Blossom Shuttle Buses” Make Their Debut

The New Taipei City Tung Blossom Festival will begin on the 11th in the Nantianmu Mountain area of Tucheng. Due to the large crowds and traffic the event has attracted in previous years, the New Taipei City Department of Transportation will implement traffic controls starting the 11th and arrange special shuttle buses for visitors.

The New Taipei City Department of Transportation stated that this year it has arranged two dedicated tung blossom shuttle bus routes:

Route 1、“MRT Yongning Station — Nantianmu Plaza” Line: Departures from Exit 3 of MRT Yongning Station. Operating on weekends and holidays from April 11 to May 10, with first and last buses running from 7:00 to 18:00 and buses departing every 2–4 minutes. On the evenings of April 25 and 26, a nighttime firefly-viewing bus service will be offered from 18:00 to 21:00, with buses running every 10–15 minutes.Route 2

、“Jincheng Parking Lot — Nantianmu Plaza” Line: Departures from Jincheng Parking Lot. This route will operate only on April 25 and 26, from 7:00 in the morning to 18:00 in the evening, with buses running approximately every 8–10 minutes.The New Taipei City Department of Transportation stated that due to the high volume of visitors during weekends and holidays and limited parking near MRT Yongning Station, those wishing to enjoy the tung blossoms in the mountains are advised to make use of public transportation or transfer to the shuttle buses.Line: Departs from Jincheng Parking Lot, operating only on April 25 and 26. Service hours are from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a frequency of approximately every 8 to 10 minutes.

The New Taipei City Department of Transportation stated that due to the large number of visitors admiring the tung blossoms on holidays and the limited parking space near Yongning Metro Station, the public is advised to make use of public transportation or transfer to shuttle buses when visiting the mountains to enjoy the tung blossom scenery.
