Marianas “Best Job Ever” Finals: Spicy Teacher to Serve as One-Day General Manager

The Ultimate Internship Opportunity Comes to Taiwan for Recruitment!“Marianas Tourism Bureau: One-Week Intern” held its finals in Taipei today (15th), where 25-year-old teacher Lai Yini impressed the judges with her confident responses during the interview, securing the crucial votes that won her the chance to intern in the Marianas. She will serve as the one-day general manager of the Tinian Dynasty Hotel and receive an official certificate from the tourism bureau.

The “Marianas Tourism Bureau: One-Week Intern” program is being held for the second time this year. After 15 weeks of intense selection, 415 contestants entered the preliminary round. The local office selected the 14 most creative finalists for an online popularity vote, narrowing it down to three top candidates. Today’s two-stage evaluation included a talent show and a Q&A with the judges. After a fierce competition, the champion was Lai Yini, known as the “Spicy Teacher,” who won with her performance of an island dance tune.

The Mariana Islands consist of 14 islands including Saipan, Tinian, and Rota, and are hailed as “the best-kept secret garden of the U.S. territories.” Among them, Guam Island is known as the “Little Maldives.” Diving is a must-do activity on Saipan, and the mysterious “Blue Hole” is recognized as one of the world’s best cave diving spots. The “Magic Geyser” on Tinian is one of the world’s five great natural wonders.

Rota Island is praised as the “Unpolished Gem of the Marianas.” The wildly popular show “Running Man” is set to film on Saipan soon, sparking a surge in tourism to the island. Comprising multiple islands, the Marianas have come to Taiwan for recruitment. The “Ultimate Marianas Intern” will undergo a series of internship programs and activities at the tourism bureau headquarters, serving as a tourism ambassador. The full package—including airfare, accommodation, meals, and activities—is worth over NT$150,000, along with a weekly salary of NT$60,000. Participants will not only fully experience the beauty of the Marianas but also broaden their horizons and enjoy the charm of oceanic island life.
