Doing Good Deeds: CaliBurger Donates Day One Revenue to Love Home Upon Opening

The American burger joint CaliBurger, opened by celebrity Fish Leong’s husband, Tony Chao, officially launched on the 20th. Given that Chao has long supported Taiwan’s Love Home Foundation, he decided to donate all of CaliBurger’s first-day earnings to the foundation.

On opening day, CaliBurger prepared 300 burgers along with other items including fries. Chao said that regardless of whether customers ordered individual burgers, combo meals, or other dishes, all of CaliBurger’s revenue from the 20th would go to the Love Home Foundation. Although the amount isn’t very large, he hopes it can still be of help.

CaliBurger emphasizes using only the freshest ingredients, with potatoes being freshly cut and fried. Chao explained that as the burger patties are being cooked, cheese is added on top and melted, ensuring that the beef and cheese meld together while eating. Additionally, their burger patties are not overly pressed, resulting in a juicy and tender texture.
