LINE partners with Hong Kong Ocean Park to launch its first-ever themed indoor water play party

LINE’s first-ever themed indoor water play party is coming soon. Hong Kong Ocean Park announced today (29th) that it will collaborate with LINE to roll out its key summer event of the first half of the year — “LINE x Ocean Park Summer Splash,” featuring a water maze, swings, and more, where visitors can also interact with the messaging app’s iconic characters.

Hong Kong Ocean Park is collaborating with LINE for the first time, presenting its key annual event “LINE x Ocean Park Summer Splash” from July 1 to August 30. The themed indoor water play party is about to make its debut. It will include fantasy-themed water mazes, water slides, swings, and other water play facilities, along with LINE characters sporting new summer looks.

Lincoln Li, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Park, said that Taiwan is one of Hong Kong’s important overseas source markets. In 2014, the number of Taiwanese visitors increased by 7% compared to 2013. A similar growth rate of around 6% is expected this year. Li added that the Ocean Park Station on the South Island Line of the MTR is set to open in Q4 2016. In 2017 and 2018, the park will grandly unveil a large-scale all-weather water park featuring both indoor and outdoor attractions — the first year-round water park in Hong Kong. Additionally, a four-star Ocean Park Marriott Hotel is also scheduled to open in 2017.

To show appreciation for the support of Taiwanese travelers, Hong Kong Ocean Park has specially partnered with four major Taiwanese theme parks to offer discounts. From now until March 31, 2016, visitors who present admission stubs from E-DA Theme Park, Yehliu Ocean World, Leofoo Village Theme Park, or Six Flags Theme Park can enjoy a 10% discount on Ocean Park tickets. Those holding annual passes or passports from the aforementioned four parks can enjoy a 15% discount on Ocean Park tickets, with a maximum of four discounted daytime entry tickets, annual passes, or passports per transaction.
