4,000 "Love Flowers" in Bloom — The Purple Sea of Flowers on Nantou's Sky Bridge Is Simply Romantic

Delicate purple blooms, vibrant and dewy, can be found at the Monkey Well Sky Bridge in Nantou County. Starting in May, the official “Love Flower Season” begins, with over 4,000 purple love flowers blooming across the parkland — an absolutely breathtaking sight that one can’t help but describe as “so romantic!” It’s the perfect spot for a flower-viewing weekend getaway in early summer.

Organizers say the love flower blooming period is approximately from April to June, with May being the peak season. Also known as Agapanthus, the love flower not only symbolizes love stories but also represents fertility, making it a symbol of warm maternal love. The slender love flowers stand tall against the sky, swaying in the wind and gently dancing. Together with their white-flowered counterparts, they weave a romantic atmosphere under the blue summer sky at the Sky Bridge.

(On Mother’s Day, mothers aged 65 and above wearing purple clothing can enjoy free admission, while those under 65 receive a discounted ticket price of NT$10.)

Special Discount Ticket: NT$10 (holders of Volunteer Service Honor Cards, seniors aged 65 and above, residents of Nantou City, children aged 3 to under 6), free entry for those entering the area for official business with proof of identity, individuals with disabilities and one accompanying person, and children under 3 years old.
