Taiwan's only Kitty-themed room to bid farewell at Kaohsiung Howard Plaza Hotel

The Hello Kitty-themed room at Kaohsiung Howard Plaza Hotel, which once drove Kitty fans wild and was the only one of its kind in Taiwan, has announced its official closure on August 31, disappointing many fans. Du Qiujing, PR manager of the hotel, said that due to the contract expiration, the Hello Kitty-themed room will also leave Howard Plaza Hotel. Fans are encouraged to make the most of the closing promotion to stay in the pink, dreamlike room.

Du Qiujing further explained that the original Kitty-themed rooms will be converted back into regular suites, with no new themed rooms currently planned. From May 1 to August 31 — a limited period of just 123 days — bookings for the Hello Kitty room will enjoy discounts of up to 60% off (original prices ranging from NT$12,000 to NT$25,000, with promotional prices starting from NT$6,000 to NT$10,000, including two harbor buffet breakfasts). Guests will also receive a value-packed Hello Kitty limited-edition goodie bag worth NT$3,800 to NT$6,800.
