A romantic Ferris wheel with great views might not seem so appealing to those with a fear of heights. Janfusun Fancyworld’s Rainbow Ferris Wheel stands 88 meters tall—about 30 stories—and is currently the tallest Ferris wheel in central Taiwan.

A Ferris wheel, which typically lacks speed, shouldn’t be scary — but E-DA Sky Wheel is currently the tallest in Taiwan. As the cabin slowly ascends to its highest point of 115 meters, swaying gently in the wind, many riders who are afraid of heights report their legs going weak.

Combining elements of free-fall drops, roller coasters, and tornado spins, “Rescue the Earth’s Core” propels riders down from a height of 39 meters at speeds of 120 km/h, then sends them spinning. Many riders who brave this ride — claimed to be the world’s first break-track roller coaster — scream for their moms afterward.
