Taipei’s Backyard Garden Welcomes Early Summer: Baishih Lake’s Twin-Heart Pool Gets a Fresh Makeover with Dazzling Designs

To celebrate Mother’s Day and the arrival of early summer, Baishih Lake’s Twin-Heart Pool has unveiled a new floral design plan. Decorated with shades of purple, white, and red, flowers are arranged in the shape of a heart to express love, infusing the pool with the warmth and joy of summer.

Originally an abandoned spring, Baishih Lake has been transformed through renovation and design into an ecological wetland spring in the shape of twin hearts, named the “Twin-Heart Pool.” Paired with the nearby rest pavilion “Eternal Bond Pavilion,” it symbolizes the joyful theme of “being together forever.” This time, angel’s trumpet, flame tree, and balsam flowers have been used to embellish the Twin-Heart Pool, further enhancing its romantic and blissful ambiance. In mid-to-late May, lilies at Baishih Lake will also begin to bloom one after another, presenting a diverse and colorful landscape that welcomes visitors to come and admire the flowers.

In addition to the Twin-Heart Pool at Baishih Lake, the nearby Baishih Lake Dragon Bone Suspension Bridge offers a distant view of the mountain scenery, and the “Couple Trees”—two intertwined Machilus thunbergii trees—are also popular attractions.
