Summer’s biggest travel expo “Sweetheart Show with Special Deals” – Outlying Islands from just NT$3,999

Taiwan’s largest summer travel expo, the “2015 Taipei International Travel Fair,” will kick off on the 22nd (Friday). This year, a total of 450 exhibitors will occupy the entire World Trade Center I, setting up 1,200 booths. Last year, over 259,000 visitors attended, and the organizers expect this year’s attendance to exceed 300,000.

When the expo opens, what excites visitors most is snagging great deals. This year, domestic travel agency Canxing Travel is offering a Penghu Fireworks Tour plus a four-day summer trip with three nights’ stay at a Magong hotel, including unlimited water activities on Jibei Island, starting at NT$4,999 per person. E旅行网 offers Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu packages from NT$3,999 on weekdays and NT$4,599 on holidays, along with a Taitung hot air balloon package that skips the queue – a two-day trip including flights and accommodation starting at NT$4,888.

For hotels, The Okura Prestige Taipei is offering 45% off stays and 75% off meal vouchers; Taipei Fuhang Hotel has 58% off meal vouchers; Grand Hyatt Taipei is featuring 25% off lunch and dinner at Japanese restaurant Kappo Japanese Cuisine for groups of four on weekdays, and 29% off the Ziga Zaga all-you-can-drink and dine voucher for six people. Additionally, Peony Bay is offering a combined accommodation voucher set of three for NT$9,999, which can be flexibly used across all its affiliated hotels.

Meanwhile, the Council of Indigenous Peoples is presenting 15 carefully selected tour packages that allow participants to experience authentic tribal life. During the four-day expo, there will be on-site guides providing bilingual (Chinese and English) tours, while tribal chefs, artisans, and homestay owners will promote indigenous travel experiences. Through 2,000 “Tribal Brain Teaser Activity Cards,” visitors can engage in games to experience tribal life and travel.
