In response to the Ministry of Culture’s “518 International Museum Day: Travel with Fun” series, the Banqiao Lin Benyuan Garden Mansion hosted a guided tour event titled “Little Cultural Heritage Guardians Introduce You to the Garden’s Secrets” on May 16 and 17. Students from Banqiao Zhongshan Elementary School led visitors in exploring the traditional painted decorations and Zhangzhou-style woodcarving features of the Lin Benyuan Garden Mansion.

The 518 International Museum Day initiative brings together nearly 112 public and private museums and cultural venues across Taiwan to participate in the celebration and host a series of related events. The goal is to encourage more public engagement in cultural and artistic activities, deepen understanding of traditional Chinese architecture, and foster a shared sense of responsibility for heritage preservation. The Lin Benyuan Garden Mansion organized four guided tours over the two days of May 16 and 17, with a maximum of 20 participants per session.
