Spicy tuna crepes with a savory kick in Tainan!“Honeycomb + Honey” coffee boasts an ultra-sweet flavor

Located in Tainan, “Blushing Encounter” appears to be a dried flower shop from the outside, but stepping inside reveals a hidden gem. Open for a year, it has gained some local fame. The owner, a former hotel head chef and private chef, eventually opened this spot. “Because our style and ambiance make women feel like they’re in love, we named it ‘Blushing Encounter.’”

The shop’s honeycomb is sourced through collaboration with Taiwanese beekeepers. The owner explained that most beekeepers in Taiwan are reluctant to sell honeycomb—it’s either too troublesome or considered too rare. “We only have this drink because of our connections.” It’s made by pouring Americano coffee over cream, then topping it with honeycomb and honey, resulting in a sweet and fragrant brew.

The shop’s crepes are all wrapped up. Compared to other flavors that use more cheese for a stringy effect, this one is relatively simple. The tuna is first marinated with spices similar to those used in spicy hot pot, giving it a numbing and spicy kick, and a whole egg is placed in the center. “Our eggs are all organic brown eggs,” the owner said with a smile.

Served in a wine glass, the base is French-imported rosehip syrup, with not-too-strong spice flavors. It contains ice cubes made from wild berries and dried rose petals, naturally extracted to deliver a very fragrant taste.

It contains wine-marinated tomatoes. “Our tomatoes are first peeled, then fermented with white wine and plums. The resulting juice, along with plum juice and tomato juice, is mixed with sparkling water to create the drink. Two tomatoes are also skewered on top, sprinkled with sugar and caramelized.”
