Tourism Center / Comprehensive Report
As the summer vacation ends, the F&B market in September also seems to cool down a bit. There aren’t many newly opened restaurants this month, but they are quite distinctive. For example, the newly opened Yan Xiang Ting is the first restaurant in Taiwan to combine rotating sushi with Hong Kong-style dim sum. Meanwhile, Japan’s popular French crêpe specialty store gelato pique crêperie officially launched in Taiwan on September 30. Additionally, “Ryukyu Shinmen – Tsuudou,” the world’s first ramen shop offering gendered ramen and a must-try when visiting Okinawa, opened earlier in the month.

District One Tpe
The most famous “Lobster Pho” from Las Vegas, USA, is coming to Taiwan soon. Vietnamese pho isn’t hard to find in Taiwan, but a dish that places a whole Boston lobster (with the shell removed) and then sets the lobster head right on top of the pho—this ultra-impressive Lobster Pho can probably only be found at District One TPE. District One TPE will officially open on September 2.
Lobster Pho is the signature dish of District One, which helped the brand gain fame in Las Vegas, USA. Now they’re opening a branch in Taiwan. Like their U.S. locations, the Taiwan branch of District One uses only live Boston lobsters, supplied fresh daily. Thanks to the use of live lobsters, the sweet and tender meat can be enjoyed after a simple hot-water blanch.
