The steak chain restaurant Texas Roadhouse, known for its hand-cut steaks, is expanding beyond the Taipei area for the first time and entering central Taiwan by opening its largest standalone branch overseas in Taichung’s Municipal Road. The new location officially opens on October 5, and from now until November 30, diners can enjoy a NT$200 discount on purchases over NT$1,000 with the grand opening flyer.

Texas Roadhouse Taichung features a brand-new Western industrial casual style. The restaurant boasts a ceiling height of 7 meters, creating a spacious and comfortable atmosphere. It covers a total area of 150 ping, with 200 indoor seats and 16 outdoor seats. The menu offers nearly 70 authentic Texan-American dishes, including 12 types of Texan appetizers, 6 main course combinations across 4 cuts of beef, 10 side dishes, and beverages.

Texas Roadhouse selects USDA Choice-grade beef from the United States, which undergoes 45 days of wet aging. The beef is then air-freighted to Taiwan under 4°C refrigeration and hand-trimmed at low temperatures to perfectly preserve the freshness and flavor of the aging process. For discerning steak lovers, the restaurant also offers a custom steak selection service, with each cut displayed in transparent refrigerated cases. Customers can choose their preferred steak based on marbling and grain patterns to match their taste preferences. The signature hand-cut steaks come in four cuts—sirloin, New York strip, ribeye, and filet mignon—with six different combination options.
