Although spring brings a riot of blooming flowers, different varieties don’t all flower at the same time—some bloom early, some late, and they’re not necessarily found in the same place. Japanese photographer @inagakiyasuto recently shared a photo full of springtime charm: a vast sea of tulips paired with yellow rapeseed flowers, with a row of cherry blossoms in full bloom further in the distance, all set against the remaining snow on the Northern Alps in the background, creating a miraculous spring scene.

Although the photo taken by @inagakiyasuto was captured in 2019, when it was reposted recently, it still garnered over 260,000 likes and nearly 50,000 reposts. In fact, this kind of scenery can only be seen for about 10 days a year, which is why many netizens are amazed by such a beautiful view.

The photo was taken at a spot known as the “Spring Quartet,” located in Asahi Town at the northeastern tip of Toyama Prefecture, by the shores of Toyama Bay (Sea of Japan). Around early April each year, the snow on Mount Asahi and Mount Hakuba in the Northern Alps has not yet completely melted. Along the nearby Shu River, about 280 cherry blossom trees are planted, and when they bloom, they form a cherry blossom tunnel about 1,200 meters long. The surrounding fields of rapeseed flowers and seas of tulips add vibrant colors, together creating a “spring-only” spectacular view.
