Walking along the dreamy seashore, with waves crashing against the rocks and creating beautiful splashes, this so-called once-in-a-lifetime hidden paradise that every Taiwanese should visit at least once boasts unforgettable scenery.

Alishih was the former name of the Anshuo Tribe in Daren Township, and the stretch from Shuifeng to Anshuo is called the “Alishih Ancient Trail.” It boasts well-preserved ecology and abundant flora and fauna.

The Alishih Ancient Trail is about 8 kilometers long, and this section of coastline is one of the few areas in Taiwan that still lacks a road connection, offering spectacular and beautiful scenery along the way.

In terms of natural landscape, the coastal views of the Alishih Ancient Trail are quite intact. Especially the long pebble beaches along the shore, where round cobblestones of varying sizes are scattered unevenly, resemble stacks of stone platters.

The trail is divided into four sections, each with vastly different scenery. Nearby areas preserve some of the last remaining coastal primeval forests in Taiwan, and the abundant ecological resources within the trail nurture many species unique to the Hengchun Peninsula.
