The command center held a press conference at 10:00 AM on the 6th. Due to crowded conditions at many attractions during the Qingming holiday, raising the risk of cluster infections, they urged the public to take the issue of travel and crowding very seriously.

On April 6, there were 10 new cases, one of which was a local infection. This local case, No. 365, was transmitted from case No. 356 to case No. 343, and then confirmed through case No. 343, who is the grandson of the aforementioned two.

After the holiday, there is concern that the epidemic situation may have changed, so the command center also called for remote work arrangements, flexible working hours, expanded testing in medical institutions; additionally, those under home quarantine are urged not to move around freely, and stricter controls are needed.

The command center also urged the public not to let their guard down after the holiday. Those who visited the following 11 crowded attractions should strengthen their self-health management for 14 days, including Alishan Forest Recreation Area, Hualien East Gate Night Market, Chiayi Wenhua Road, Tainan Guanziling, Hutoupi, Wushantou Reservoir and Lakeview Resort Villa and other pond scenic areas, Kaohsiung Xingda Port, Qishan Old Street, Yunlin Beigang Chaotian Temple, and 10 other locations, as well as areas south of Nanzhou Township in Pingtung County (including Kenting tourist attractions); those who visited other crowded places are also advised to strengthen self-health management.
