Tainan boasts diverse landforms and a rich ecological environment, along with numerous hiking trails, making it an ideal destination for planning short mountain trips. Following previous guides on outdoor activities, flower viewing, green tunnels, and world-class attractions, the Tourism Bureau has now thoughtfully compiled a list of hiking trails in Tainan worth visiting, categorized by difficulty into leisure, family-friendly, and challenging types.

Xinhua Forest Farm features forest trails as intricate as a spider’s web; the Tigerhead Pond Scenic Area offers the picturesque charm of Tainan’s backyard garden; the hidden gem of Tiger Mountain Forest Trail resembles a fairytale scene; Little South Sea Natural Ecology Park has a 5-kilometer lakeside trail for scenic views; Yuguang Island’s forest paths allow you to experience the rich and diverse vegetation of flatland forests and admire beautiful sights like the unique crescent-shaped bay.

Tiger Shape Mountain Park is rich in natural ecology and facilities, offering a view of the Guanmiao area. With gentle elevation changes, it’s perfect for family-friendly leisure hikes. It’s recommended to plan a one-day trip to Anping, visiting nearby attractions such as the Deyang Warship Park, Anping Tree House, Deji Foreign Firm, Anping Fort, and Anping Old Street to soak in Anping’s romantic and retro atmosphere.
