Drinking coffee has long become a national trend — people drink it to stay alert at work, enjoy it during afternoon tea, and can't do without it when pulling all-nighters. The rich, aromatic coffee aroma is simply irresistible. The “Taipei Boutique Coffee 2010” quality café selection campaign is now in its third year, with over 80 cafés taking part. The public can vote online or via text message and stand a chance to win a variety of valuable prizes worth thousands of dollars.

Organized by Taipei City’s Department of Economic Development, the Taipei Boutique Coffee Festival this year also features quality cafés selected in the previous two editions, such as akumacaca and Zhanlu. Many of the cafés are participating in the Taipei Shopping Card promotion, offering discounts of over 10% for cardholders.
In addition to their signature brews, the participating cafés are also serving a diverse menu that includes “international cuisine,” “healthy light meals,” “cozy desserts,” and “handmade products.” Combining health-conscious offerings, they provide coffee lovers with a unique experience.

The “Quality Café Selection Campaign” runs until July 30. You can vote for your favorite cafés or recommend a café you love through the official campaign website or mobile text messages, and you might win great prizes such as a functional jacket, an American-style coffee machine, or a professional milk frother — all worth thousands of dollars.
