The Alishan Flower Festival began on March 10th, with romantic pink cherry blossoms blooming in succession. We’re now in the second half of late March. Some Somei Yoshino cherries are gradually fading as their petals fall, making way for Oshima cherries and a diverse array of double-flowered cherry blossoms that are currently in full bloom.

For cherry blossom enthusiasts, the second half of the season is not to be missed, especially the double-flowered cherry varieties. The diversity of double-flowered cherry types in Alishan is truly eye-opening. In addition to Oshima cherries and double-flowered varieties, Taiwan pleione, Yushan azalea, multiflora wisteria, weeping crabapple, calla lily, daisy, and Western apple blossoms are also joining the floral spectacle.
