During the 2011 Tungshi “Sea Summer Festival” in Chiayi, which spans the entire month of August, various celebration events are held every Saturday and Sunday. On the opening day, August 6, the Chiayi County Culture and Tourism Bureau hosted the “Love in Tungshi Happy Concert” at the romantic Tungshi Fishing Harbor — a perfect date spot. The concert featured performances by fresh-voiced singer Deng Fu-ru, Fish Leong who sang "The Fierce Wife", ballad prince Lee Sheng-jie, the deeply emotive singing dad Dave Zhang, as well as Super Idol winner Fish Leong, among others, kicking off the festival in style.

It’s worth mentioning that on the evening of August 6, there was also a romantic event called “Lovers’ 100-Second Kiss for Happiness,” where 100 couples were invited to kiss for 100 seconds, symbolizing 100 years of love spent together at Tungshi Fishing Harbor during Qixi Festival. Ten lucky couples were also drawn to receive a pair of pure gold necklaces, as a token of enduring affection.

In addition, from August 13 to August 21, events every Saturday and Sunday include a curated display of Chiayi gift boxes, lively water play activities, and evening live band performances. August 27 and 28 have been designated as Tungshi Gratitude Week, featuring activities such as wind chime DIY, oyster shell art sand painting DIY, beach volleyball competitions, and a 1 NTD bidding session for fresh seafood catches.
